Good morning from Rapid City, South Dakota. We finally able to left Cody, Wyoming. Cord found a guy that could fix the cable that he needed to get back home. It’s a temporarily fixed and still legal to drive the truck and the camper home so we will not going to get pulled over again and can protect other drivers on the highway road.
We’re using the same route that we planned. We’re glad that we made the decision to spent the night at Cody, because to get to our destination we would need to pass another mountain in a blizzard condition at night. We ditched our reserved KOA in Buffalo, WY. Safety is a priority. Everything is different when you have small children.
As we passed through the area you could see that they had at least 6 inches of snow the night before. But the road was cleared and conditioned. And the view… Oohhh my! Beautiful. The pictures will not do justice. If we would drive it last night , we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this beautiful view.

I am so sorry for my road trip hair! 🙈

Chloe and Clover are our best travelers ☺️ They always requested “On The Road Again”, by Willie Nelson whenever we started driving. Its becoming the soundtrack of our adventures.
Devils Tower.

I love this man so much!

I look rough! 🤪

Clover reached an important “milestone” on this trip. She could write her own name!!! Proud mama, papa, and sister 👏🏼😍

We are so sad. Our impromptu trip during pandemic is coming to an end. It felt so good to be out in the nature with family after cooped up in the house for 6 months.
Beside the major scare on our way home, we had such great times. We always treasure our time with family. We love making memories. We hope these girls will never forget our trips.
We’ve traveled and drove through nine states. We started in Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and back to Kansas again. Wow!!! I wonder how many miles Cord has been driven in this trip. Cord is our own version of “Superman”. We love him so much 😍
Until our next adventures!
Re-Edit: Cord drove 2,850 miles on this trip!!!
