Day 6!
My sister, Amenk and I were just driving around the crowded city. Iβm amazed how different the city looks since I left here 27 years ago. There are plenty of new malls, new hotels, new restaurants, new cafes, new βCityββ¦ CPI, Center Point of Indonesia. Thereβs no doubt, that the city of Makassar is growing rapidly. Itβs a great travel destination, especially for foodies like me βΊοΈ
What makes me sad is the city is very dirty. There are trash every where. People donβt have the awareness to keep Makassar clean. I hope they can change that.

We went to mamaβs favorite βbreakfastβ place in the city. They have the best βyellow riceβ dish in my opinion.

Day 7!
Itβs hard getting up this morning. Iβm missing my babies back home. But Iβm fortunate that I got to FaceTime them 2/3 times a day. Thank you technology.
Going to the mall becomes a routine here. Because of the extreme heat lately, the electric company has been turning off the power almost every day for few hours at a time! So where do people go to cool off? Theyβre going to the mall π
Iβve been enjoying quality time with my sister. I thank God I still have the opportunity to see her and her family. Iβm just heartbroken that I canβt see my mama anymore. Iβm sorry mama π’ Youβre always in our hearts and will be forever missed.

Day 8!
Happy Sunday everyone, except Miami and itβs fans.
Today weβre just hanging out at home. Nawir, a friend of the family bought some fish to grill at home. So good! This is what Iβve been missing. Hanging out with friends and family, talk about nothing, and enjoying food and drinks together. Iβm feeling blessed, ya Allahβ¦
