Long Journey to Home.

DFW airport. October 26th. 4:30pm, local time.

I’ve finally made it to Dallas earlier this afternoon. After few hours delayed and the waiting game at MCI, Kansas City International airport , they finally canceled last night flight and rescheduled it to 10:00am flight this morning. Well, more like 11:00am flight. Another rain delayed 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to make tons of phone calls and talked to many airlines agents to make sure my trips home is still on. Now a day later, with my feet propped up on my carry-on luggage, I am sitting right in front of my gate to make sure I am not going to miss the second leg of my flight in this long journey trip back home.

Hamad International Airport. October 27th. 11:51pm local time.

It was 13 hours and about 37 minutes the flight from Dallas to Qatar. I only had about 3 hours total of sleep in that long second leg of flights home. I am waiting for the third leg of flight from Doha to Denpasar-Bali, Indonesia.

I had some scared when I was about to leave the plane. I could not locate my passport!!! The crew members, the supervisor, and I looked through my carry-on for about 15 minutes! I don’t know how it ended up in the storage in the seat in front of me. I almost had a heart attack. What else could go wrong?

Hamad International Airport is beautiful! Tons of good food, drinks, stores, luxury brand names. I wish I had more time to explore it.

Now I’m preparing myself for another flight to Bali. Wish me luck. Bismillah 🙏🏼

Welcome to Bali! Saturday, October 28th. 8:27pm local time. Ngurah Rai airport is bigger than I remember. I heard they just finished this new airport last year. The arrival immigration process and declaration process is super fast and easy. I have had total of 5 hours of dozing off and little sleep since I left Kansas City 2 days ago. Yet, I am wide awake. So I booked this little pod or capsule hotel, PassGo, inside the international terminal for only $22.00, It is super cute, and comfy place to rest my body after those long flights. And it’s not over yet. Now I’m ready to be in a horizontal position.

Morning Bali! October 29th, 6:11am… local time. I am waiting for boarding time to fly to Makassar in about 18 minutes. Bismillah 🙏🏼

Alhamdulilah, touch down Makassar! I’m finally able to give my baby sister, Camelia aka Amenk’, hugs again after 8 years being apart. We don’t have our parents anymore. It’s only the two of us now. I wish we lived close with each other.

After we left the airport, we made some stop at our mama and papa’s graveyards. My heart is heavy. How I miss them so much!
