Glenwood Spring, CO

Good morning, Glenwood Spring!!! Everybody had a goodnight sleep. We are staying at Best Western Antler. They provided free breakfast. We did some laundry, Chloe and Cord did a little swim in the pool, while Clover is taking her nap ☺️

We did a Grizzly Lake trail. Only for 10 mins walk and 10 mins back. We stopped for lunch on the rocks underneath a highway.

Oh my .. Oh my!!! We are heading more West now. We are not sure where we’re gonna end up … But let me tell you, The Hanging Lake Trail is crazy! I thought yesterday was rough, this trail is rougher. It is rugged, every step you take is a step up. It’s like “The Stair Master” mountain. I had to take lots of water break going up. But the trail is pretty and beautiful. There’s a stream on the side of the trail that could give you a nice breeze. And there were benches a long the way up.

I don’t know what’s the difference between today’s hike than yesterday… But in this hike, Chloe did the whole hike up and the whole way down, all by herself. So so proud of her. We timed it, it took us about one hour and ten minutes to the “lake” sight. And it’s all going up. It’s very steep and lots of big rocks. And another 2-3 minutes walked up to the “waterfall” sight.

The reward is a very beautiful “lake”. Masya Allah, ya Rabb!!! The pictures don’t do any justice. I was so proud of myself, I cried at the top . Cry of happiness. I really pushed myself in this hike. I did it. We did it as a family.

After the hike, we went back to Iron Mountain Hot Spring for the reward.

We are looking forward for our next challenge!!
