Hornsilver Campground-White River National Park.

First camping experience for the whole family. Chloe and Clover were brave in a Bear Country. We were planning to explore Vail, CO. But the Vail was failed.

We continued to look for a campground for the night. We brought truck tent that we borrowed from Nils.

The campground is located between the the town of Minturn and Leadville. When we arrived at the campground was around 7pm. Cord immediately set up the tent and gathered all the tools to make our supper for the night, spaghetti and followed with s’mores for dessert. Chloe had fun helping Cord picking up some sticks to cook the s’mores. It was a fun night overall.

No signal was found. We were on our own.

We had to store all of our food, drinks, toiletries in the truck because of its known as a bear country. I am not going to lie. I was scared because we have lots of food and snacks.

Although the thermometer said 50 degrees , but it felt like in the lowest 30’s. There were layers of frost on our camping gears and chairs. I could not sleep for hours, because I was freezing. Luckily Chloe and Clover were fast asleep. They were snuggled in blankets. But Chloe, Clover, and I are moved to the inside  of the truck in the middle of the night. And I finally got some couple hours of sleep. Cord stayed in the truck bed until daylight. He’s a Superman.

Mama and Papa had PB&J for breakfast. Chloe had an apple, and Clover had her milk, of course.

What an experience! And thank goodness, there’s no bear in sight.

We did it!
